My daughter was the same age last Christmas. We got her a wooden kitchen which has been very popular - almost all of her friends got one too! We went for the aldi one, very cheap but sustainable wood and great quality.

Other toys she got from various family members included a ragdoll and pushchair, melissa and Doug doorbell house, playdoh, sticker books, annual membership cult local farm park.

when my daughter was 2 she loved her tea set, doctors kit, little soft toy in pet carrier, happyland house and figures.

also her favourite t.v. character/film figures, dressing up or things like backpack, bowl/cup, pyjamas, bedding.

2 was the age dds started showing an interest in films so we got the busy books with the dvd. busy books have 12 mini figures, playmat and book for around £5/6.

duplo is good too or the magnetic building shapes.

My dc of the same age is getting a 3 wheeler scooter and helmet.

If I had more space at home I'd get her a second hand play kitchen too.

Also a tea set and STICKERS are a must!

Posting to placemark as my 'watch' function seems to have gone kaput!

Mine love Brio train sets

My two loved shape sorters. You can get some good quality wooden ones that are themed to whichever TV characters they like.

Hope that helps!

I'm looking for inspiration too for dd2. Dd1 just turned 4 so we have her old toys. Some of these ideas are great.

At age 2 dd loved her ice cream cart. Played with every day. Toy kitchen. Skuttlebug. Dolls and pram. Doctors kit. Dressing up. Books. Stickers. Toy cars. Peppa pig anything. Toy cash register and money. Shopping trolley, food and basket.

A massive hit was food that cuts. Held with Velcro.

My DD will be 18 mths and is getting a toy kitchen. (Which I know she'll love as she already has had several plays with it) But watching for other suggestions as I want to buy her all the toys.
