Tablet for a 10 year old

I'm looking for a tablet for a 10 year old. I think that the Amazon ones may be aimed and younger children. I'd prefer not to buy and apple product as they are so much money. I'm considering a Huawei as they are well priced but is there something else that I should consider?

I got my 8 year old a 7 inch Samsung Galaxy A tablet. It's not the fanciest tablet but it is perfectly fine for the sorts of things he needs it for (youtube kids, minecraft pocket edition etc).

It was a good price and comes with easy to implement parental controls. However, when he's a little older those controls can be relaxed so he can use it more flexibly unlike the Amazone ones.

I'm thinking of getting a slightly bigger version for my 10 year old at Christmas.
