Sandpit - when do children out grow them?

We are thinking of building a large-ish sandpit like this in our garden uk.pinterest.com/pin/496592296399085413/ as we have a load of logs to use up, but I wondered when / if children stop playing in sandpits...my DCs are 6 and 3 and currently v. much enjoying digging the soil, but just wondering whether that will last? Thanks!

I would say around year six so age 10/11,but even my 12 year old will play with her younger siblings.

ah, brilliant, that's really good news as I think it looks really fun..also, was thinking at our local park, you do get quite a few of the older (aged 9-10) playing in it, especially where they have a water feature as well (too expensive I imagine).
