Any ideas? Lots of the traditional gifts are maybe too baby-ish... It has to be transportable: the christening is abroad.

Get one one the "little boy who lost his name" books. I got my dd one. They are excellent quality and you an have a personal message in the front cover. I genuinely love them and at £20 aren't too expensive.

No worries. I'm ordering my dd who's now 3, the new space adventure one for Christmas. She really loves it.
