xbox help

I am going to get DS an xbox for his birthday but am really confused about the choice. What size xbox360 do I need in terms of memory?

And am I mad to get a 360 when the new xbox1 is out - will you still be able to get games for the 360 this time next year? The xbox1 is so pricey though...

DS has the special edition Xbox 360 Star Wars. It has 360gb memory, he's had it 3 years and has never run out of memory. I know that some people with the very basic Xbox with 4gb storage have had to upgrade within a few months though. So if you're planning on keeping it a while then definitely get one with more storage.
Also, as far as I know there are no plans to discontinue Xbox 360 games as it's such a popular console so you should be safe with one and you can get some really good bundle deals.
Hopefully someone a bit more knowledgeable will come along with some more info.
