educational game consoles/laptops for long journeys

advice please! what are the best 'laptop-ish' things for a 7 year and 3 year old in car? Slightly educational would be good!

Ipad - and get apps that don't require internet connection.

There are loads of apps. Invest in a incar charger as well.

Oh, I'm interested in this too. So far we've resisted in car DVD players etc.
