Combined toy/plate toy idea

Hi. I am new to this so please forgive me. I have a small idea which combines a child's plate with a toy to help/distract whilst feeding which I am thinking to develop. I don't want to go too much into detail as I have no patent (and probably can't afford one). I just wanted to ask mums whether in principal they feel comfortable with allowing their child (around 2yrs) to play with a toy whilst they eat, or do you feel it's a handicap to their ability to eat properly? We use the toy/plate (which I created myself) and feeding is so much easier with our 2 yr old now, so I have a thought to try to do something with the idea. Hope you can help with my research. Xx

We never did feeding: just let the children eat. And when they finished eating, we took the food away and they left the table. Perhaps if there was a sn issue so the child had to be fed rather than feeding themselves it could be helpful.
