Hello, anyone know if you can use the Thomas take n play engines on the wooden tracks?

They don't fit, but that never stopped DS when his was in to Thomas.

The take and play stuff is much smaller. So, yes, you can physically push your take and play engine along the wooden track. But the two sets are not designed to be played together.

Sorry to hijack OP but I have another Thomas-related question - does anyone know if I can mix the blue Trackmaster tracks with the grey ones?

I want to buy a few different bits for DS1's birthday - I've just bid on a large set of blue tracks on eBay but realised that the bridge I want to buy has grey tracks? Both are branded 'Trackmaster'.

The trackmaster sets should fit together fine if they are different colours as long as they are both trackmaster. You get an adapter piece with the trackmaster sets that links trackmaster to take n play too
