Dd will be 5 soon and considering a Leap Reader for her present.

She loves stories and being read to and as she is starting school soon, she is starting to learn to read.

Would this be a good idea?

Does it use phoenetic alphabet?

We have a Leapreader for DS, who is three. I'd question if your DD might grow out of it a bit quickly at five.

That said DS loves his. We have the Talking Words Factory book which is great and uses phonics.

The human body set is fab. I was a bit worried that there wasn't much to it when unboxed but there us lots to do with it and it's v info dense.

We've also got story books and the map and have bought audio books for it, too.
