We have a very energetic 7 year old DS who has outgrown his TP metal climbing frame. Thank goodness he still loves his trampoline!

We're looking for inspiration for some outside fun and/or toys, as he likes to be outside - in all weathers!

Our garden is level and a decent size, with a few small trees.

Ideally, he'd like a mahoosive treehouse and a zip wire but not sure if that is possible. Haha! We do a bit of impromptu den building with sheets and blankets around the TP climbing frame.

We like this inflatable wheel although some of the reviews aren't great. Something similar out there???

Would love to hear your ideas!

Make him a small raised bed to grow some veg.
Hose pipe roulette is fun. Hose with spray gun on the end and Mate. Take in turns to stand in front of it. The victim says a number between 1 & 6. The one holding the spray gun turns the nozzle the number said and sprays the friend. What will you get - a fine spray or a jet ! Great fun.

If garden can take it. Put a pile of palets and junk in a pile and let his imagination take over.

When we were little we didnt have any trees in our garden but really wanted a treehouse so our dad made us a 'treehouse' on stilts - it was only about 2/3 feet off the ground but we had a trap door entry and decorated the inside with cushions and posters, it was fab. Other than that a goal post and football is loved by most boys I know.

Are trees tall enough for a rope swing?

Teenagers still love hanging out on swings. Try www.bravetoys.com They make beautiful swings for teens and adults too. You will want one for yourself. My boys surf on the Frammock while standing up and my toddler climbs on for the "ride". Slightly terrifying, but they all love it! And when I have a moments peace, I read my book on it!
