My son is 15 months and I'd like to get him a trike for christmas.

I thought a smart trike like this:

Any thoughts? There seem to be mixed reviews...i'd be grateful for any help!!

Many thanks in advance..

Smart Trike is the best make.

I had a trike for DD1 from ELC (orange colour £50ish) and it was crap.

I have a smarttrike similar to the one you've linked for DD2 and it is better than the ELC one, but my sister has the £99 one and it is better still.

I personally would recommend the Puky range - they're metal, so can be left outside and do have a handle for pushing. But the best thing is that a younger child can stand on the back (clearly not health and safety approved) and my two have a fab time!

I have the 1L trike in the Cap'tn Sharkey colours and it's absolutely fab

Kettler trikes are amazing they are made with metal box section come with a parent pole a tippy bucket on the back and a hand brake my sons even has pneumatic tyres he rode his every day in the summer he had it as a first birthday present I had one as a child and it lasted 20years of quiet substantial use
