Thinking of getting a rc toy for 3yo ds for Christmas. Can you recommend one that is robust & easy to operate that might appeal to a 3yo?

Playmobil do a RC unit that attaches to several of their vehicles, and playmobil is very robust!

ooh thanks, didn't think of that! we have a few playmobil bits put aside for Christmas already. Will it be easy enough for a 3yo to operate though?

I think the controls are fairly simple... but we haven't bought one yet.

Is your DS a fan of Jake & The Neverland Pirates? My 3yo DS is and we've got him a remote control Jake on a Skateboard. It looks fab in the packet but obviously haven't used it yet. It was on offer for £24.99 in Home Bargains a few weeks back.

never watched it I'm afraid! though he did like the look of a jake & the neverland duplo set the other day so he would prob know who he was. I think tbh I'd probably prefer some sort of car. He's really into Disney cars/planes atm so something along those lines might be good if I can find it. Am always a bit wary of 'character' toys though as they often seem poorer quality/more fiddly than their counterparts.

Its been very popular with DD and many of her friends. Its very easy to use and pretty robust. Good price too.

the tin can ones available from maplin by alderly are pretty easy to use and small enough to use indoors on smoth flooring or inside - ds has just upgraded to a nikko one in the sale at argos for 34.99 but its v fast - more for dh really!
