furby boom???

Hi no idea what to get my girls for xmas ages 9 and 6 and then they saw the furby booms in toysrus 49.99 each.
Anyone got one what do you think?

Seriously they are a bit fun and if you invest some time in "training" them they can be quite cute. So I hear.

I know there are a couple of old Furby threads on here that go into a fair amount of detail.
