scooter for 6yo

I asked on this board a while ago for recommendations for a bike/trike for a 2yo, and you lovely wonderful people came up with the Puky LRM which dd has loved to bits. DS has a birthday coming up and wants a scooter. He's 6yo but quite tall. I think he'd like to take it to the skate park and go up and down the ramps. Do you have any recommendations? I've done a bit of googling and I have no idea what to choose. Maxi micro seem v expensive compared to some others. We had a mini micro for him before, which he's really growing out of, but that seems quite babyish. The razor ones look very cheap but I have no idea on quality. The slamm ones get good reviews, but they're from 7+ (not sure whether this would matter)

Help me please, mn experts.

My 6 year old has a cheapish JD Bug, which he loves. I scoped out what the slightly older kids seemed to have, and that brand kept popping up.

My son has a maxi micro scooter. He bought it when he was 6 and he's 10 now. It's been well worth every penny! Prior to it he went through two cheaper ones, each one lasting less than 6 weeks. The micro scooters seem to last far longer and are well made.

What about a micro sprite? Cheaper than the maxi, but two-wheeled.

My DS (nearly 8) has had his maxi for over 2 years (prior to that had a cheap 2 wheeler which lasted months).

It is worth it's weight in gold IMO and is the main reason he has not been late for school this year Smile
