Leapfrog leappad 2

Hi, I know this sounds like a really dumb question but just wants to check :) so my hubby came home with a leappad 2 today for our little girls upcoming birthday. He got the green one and I know you can also get it in pink. My question is can a girl use the green one? Silly I know but on the box of the green one is a boy and on the pink one a girl. I like the green colour better than the pink so don't really want to change it but just wanted to make sure it's not just for boys! Also does anyone know about the app centre download card? Do I need to buy one of these to buy app from the leapfrog website or is there any other way? Thanks for your help :)

Green is fine for a girl. My dd has the pink one as she loves pink but I don't think she would have minded the green one. You get a couple of free down loads and the cards are vouchers like itune vouchers so I think you can buy without. Dd has a couple of apps but she likes the cartridges so she can put them in and take them out. Get the headphones for car journeys! (they also fit other things so dd used them on an aeroplane to watch a film). People said in the reviews that battery life is rubbish but we haven't found it too bad. She uses an adaptor to plug it in at home.
