I would like to get my little girl her first bike for her third birthday in feb, looking at disney princess bikes as she is crazy about disney princess. Was wandering what size bike in inches would be best to get for a three year old? And does anyone know where might be best to get one? Thanks!

Balance Bike, unless she is quite a big 3 year old.
They are soooo much lighter, and the kids can get going much faster on them - the kids round here on balance bikes, go at a fast adult pace. Those on pedal bikes go even slower than preschooler walking pace!

We got ours from Amazon.

We also have a balance bike, they are fabXmas Grin

Halfords suggests a 12 inch frame for a 3-5 year old, unless she's particularly tall. I think it goes up to 14 inches for 105cm tall.

For 3yo you want 10" or 12" wheels. Probably 10" unless she's noticeably taller than average.

My 3 year old is on a 14in Islabike. He had a Puky balance bike and then went to a 12 ins (no stabilisers at 2.5yrs), then we got him the Isla which he loves.

PS- DS isn't overly tall- 30th centile, try a variety of bikes as their frames are all different shapes and sizes.

For a 3 year old it has to be a balance bike - they are too little to cycle a heavy steel bike with stabilisers and get any meaningful distance! Mine never used them - went straight onto a 14 inch bike at 4ish.
