VTech Innotab2 VS LeapFrog2

I've been asked to get my godson a tablet for Christmas. Yeah, we tend to spoil him a bit.

Just need to know which is best, either the VTech Innotab2 or the LeapFrog2
I don't even have a tablet myself, so I've no idea and my other half is equally useless with this stuff.

If there's anywhere cheap to get them, I'm keen to hear that too!

i asked the same question at work and was told check the cartridges first as they are £20 each! the games on the device soon loose the charms apparently

I m nor sure which is best but I ve just bought the Innotab 2 for my 5yr old daughter from Smyths online for £59.99, quite a bit cheaper than elsewhere. I ve no idea which one is better though.

I would love to know which one is better!

Both get good reviews on PC Advisor.

Anyone recommend either type? Thanks

tabbyH · 08/10/2012 19:45

I was just about to ask this! Anyone know the main differences? Will my 3yo care that we have all stressed over this?

Tabby they both have good reviews on PC advisor.

I am now leaning towards to leap pad2.

Because they can have their picture on the games on it! Blush

I was coming on to ask the same thing. I know the letter writing game on the Leappad2 has tags on the letters (the style dd is learning at school) but don't know if the innotab does. They seem much of a muchness now, the 1st versions were a bit different with MP3 player on one but now they both have that.

Sorry I'm not any help, but I will be watching with interest.
