Farm Yard Set- recommendations please!

I would like to buy my 3 year old son a farm yard set- buildings, animals , farmer etc. I have seen one in the ELC catalogue but am not sure of the quality. Has anyone purchased it or another brand that they can recommend.

I would go for a playmobil one...they will last for ever and are far more interesting than the ELC ones.
Beautifully made and robust have lasted 10yrs+ in our house
And you can add more and more related sets to them.
