we are taking dts to see mil for the first time in a couple of weeks. she is agorophobic so we have to meet at her house, but she lives in a tiny place, ornaments everywhere, and can't deal with noise, mess, or disorder. our 4 yo ds1 can just about contain himself whilst there, but the dts are only 20 months...

we are hoping to find a new and absorbing toy (one each), but we only have two weeks left and haven't identified any likely candidate. can anyone help?

Wow. Good luck with that.

Dd loves things she can take things in and out of. What about buying them a mini set of plastic drawers and fillinf it with figures / purse with zip and not to small things inside / crayons and paper etc etc????

that sounds Luke a plan. any idea where I'd get a mini set of drawers?

Places like poundland and homebase etc often have them.

How long are you staying for?

I find that the CBeebies/Night Garden etc magazines are good to keep LOs occupied for an hour or two, if it is just an afternoon. Normally come with a little toy, some stickers, a story, something to colour in etc.
