iPad apps or not?

I am really interested as to how many of us let our children play on our iPad or iPhone etc.. Some of the apps I have found are great! My daughter is only two though. I have read around the subject and there are mixed responses surely it is not that bad?

I let my kids on it and I'm a cm, at my inspection they commented what a wonderful resource it was as one of my mindees was practicing writing on it and they were learning shapes etc. other people will say no but mine know they are to sit nicely with it.

Yes - dd is 3 . However I supervise and play with her and limit time she plays on it. The talking books and numbers/alphabet ones are very good . When she was younger the puzzle ones (tozzle) helped her get idea of shapes and moving objects to match shape.

No point depending this kind of tech not part of life now but as with everything , I think need to use discretion about time and content and also help kids with it so it's an interactive experience.

As far as I can see, this is going to be the technology that DS will grow up with so why not start introducing it? He also plays with lots of other toys as well, so we use it as part of a wide range of activities. I'd be a bit more Hmm if children were left alone for long periods without other interaction or other activities.

PS DS aged 2.4 loves zoo train!

Ds is 2.5 and loves flashcard and Lego games on my phone. He only uses it at hospital appointments, or every so often when we are out for meals.

I let my 2 year old play with my iPad (supervised), he really likes the Sandra Boynton interactive books.

Hey my daughter is almost 3 years and has a Ipod touch. May play only a limited time. But he loves it because it can learn the songs, shapes, counting itpp .... has pulled the game just suited to her age. I see how many things she learned thereby created. Paint, Puzzle, etc. .. of course, all of the head ::) But check it out!
