Mouldy bath toys

does anyone know how to stop bath toys going mouldy? Ours seem to last only a few months before filling up with gunge. I once tried cleaning a duck with bleach solutions squeezed inside it but even that didn't work (and it was only an experiment anyway - I didn't want to use bleach on something DD chews!). Don't want to have to buy new stuff every few months :(

Make sure you empty water at end
Put all in hot water with biological washing powder to clean

Thanks will give that a try, emptying water doesn't seem to make much difference - mayb because our shower is in the bath too.

When my ducks went mouldy I soaked em in Milton, making sure to get it inside and then gave them a good shake and squeezed it out, they haven't gotten mouldy since.

Chuck them in the dishwasher?
