Jumperoo? Recommended or not?

Would people recommend the Jumperoo? DD is only 8 weeks now but got the chance to buy a good condition second hand from a friend and wondered if it is worth getting? She's already been bought a bouncer that hangs in the door frame. Is it worth getting the jumperoo too? Did your DCs use them? From what age and until what age? Would you recommend I get it or not bother? Thank you :)

This is my must have item (after all the usual cot/buggy type things).

I have used it with both DS and DD. It's much better than a door hanging one. My two both have been happy in them for hours at a time. It's much sturdier, has activities for them to play with and the seat part spins 360 degrees.

Used it from about 5 - 6 mths up until they get sick if it really which is usually when they are learning to walk and probably feel trapped in.

Yes get it especially if it is a good price. Think I paid around £90 for mine and it's not quite worth that imo. But provided hours of fun. Enabled me to get a shower or tidy the kitchen etc. Does take up quite a lot of room though.

Thank you. I think we will get it. It's a lot cheaper than £90 as it's second hand and DD has some money still that people gave her when she was born that we'll use for it I think. I need to let my friend know tomorrow so any other opinions speak now or forever hold your peace!

My DS adored it. DD not so much. I'd go for it

You'll be able to sell it on no problem (I sold mine on gumtree for £10 less than I paid)

I'd thoroughly recommend it too, our son is just turning one and going off it as he would prefer to be mobile, up and about, but he has used it daily for the past four/five months.

We have borrowed one. DD (14 weeks) loves it, but it takes up most of the living room.

Yes if you can get one for second-hand prices it's def worth it, for all those moments when you just need 10 minutes to do something.

It's better than a door bouncer IMO, keeps them entertained for longer (age-wise and time-wise) and you can still use it if you have another child - we never dared use the door bouncer for DD with DS toddling around and potentially pushing her or whatever, but the jumperoo was quite safe.

Think we used it from about 4 1/2 or 5 months to 8 or 9 months perhaps? But I can't really remember... once they started to really crawl they didn't want to go in so much any more.

Jumparoos for some reason hold a really good price .... I paid £45 for mine from e bay (second hand) they are normally on there for £45 -£50 and I plan on putting it on for £45 soon. They just stay looking like new very sturdy and all wipe clean.

Oh, they're so good! My dd was a bit nonplussed at first but now she loves it. Be warned, the music will drive you insane eventually but they're a great way of getting some peace while you eat some lunch etc

I would defo recommend it. Our dd loved it! (until she started crawling)
The only downside for me was that it's absolutely massive :)
but if you have the space it's no problem :)

I don't know who had more fun in the Jumperoo, DD or DH and I. We all laughed so much when she was in it.

Jumperoos are fantastic - definitely get one!! Ours takes up a large chunk of living room but it's worth it :)

Absolutely fantastic, thought it would turn out to be a frivolous waste of money when brought one for DS2 but wouldn't have been without it, has since been used for DS3 and will be reappearing later in the year for DC4
