Talk to me about DIDICARS - are they worth the money and what age are they suitable up to?

My DS (6yrs!!) was on one all afternoon yesterday at a friend's house and absolutely loved it. I've looked and they are £40ish. Are they worth it - do you think he will grow out of it too soon (he is small (physically)and young in outlook - not immature but not ahead of his years).

Half of me thinks it is just a glorified ride on and he's far too old for it, the other half thinks we are finally in a house with all wood floors downstairs (he wouldn't be allowed it outdoors so no grit to scratch then floors) and he would really enjoy whizzing around on it.

Any opinions? Thanks.

Anyone have a Ukayed swing car - the cheaper version, it has good reviews on amazon.

Just going to witter to myself until someone else posts Grin
