What characters are your children into at the moment?

My children don't have any character toys- I think they're mostly cheap junk, produced purely for merchandising. I would much rather buy good quality toys that last and can be handed down.

Why on earth would I want my children to be marketed at?

Thomas the tank engine. Completely obsessed. We have to read the books over and over again and he loves the Thomas engines he has for his wooden train set. He's 3.

George out of the Famous Five, Dickon out of the Secret Garden and of course Gilbert Blythe.
