Best toys for hyperactive 8 month old?

My DS is constantly hyperactive and will not sit still for more that 2 seconds. He has quite a few toys, but nothing holds his attention. He is crawling and pulling himself up and starting to cruise the furniture a little bit. Can anyone recommend any toys which might be suitable for his age/level of constant activity as i can't afford to buy loads of things he had no interest in!?

DS is an energetic 7 1/2 months and the 2 best toys i found to keep his interest are a graco activity centre - i bought mine on ebay for £6.50 and have attached some of his other toys using plastic links (£4 for 20 from asda) to change the variety.
Also he has a tippitoes doorway bouncer, which i hang from a beam outside (we are in france so is warm) and he can spend up to an hour in there - supervised - kicking around / bouncing etc. i also added a plastic paddling pool full of couloured balls for him to kick out and also sit in and play with

although i think a combination of the 2 would be a jumperoo - i think they can be about £40 on ebay.

I've got one of these for DD who is soon to be one. She's had it since she was about 7 months and it still holds her attention.
