Looking for one for DDs birthday, there's nowhere near me where I can see them on display, so looking for recommendations for one which she won;t grow out of too quickly.

Expensive but have you looked at the Silver Cross coach built ones.

My dd is 6 and has one.

Well worth the investment imo as they will literally be used for years - my sister still has hers from when she was a child and its in great condition.

My dd is 8 and has a twin mamas and papas buggy from age 5, I think she was 6 when she got it and she's still pushing it about and she's a tall 8!

Clayre thanks will take a look..

Has she asked for one?

IME 5 is quite old for a toy pram, it may be better to invest in something with more longevity?

Bought a Silver Cross one (modern not coach built) from Argos for DD2 a couple of years back. She's now 8 and can still push it if she wants (she has a younger sister, she doesn't really play with it now other than to occasionally line up the Build a Bear bears in). Silver Cross and Mamas & Papas ones are made by the same company, about £40. They did a junior ranger and ranger pram (model names may have changed now), so we went for the bigger one.

thanks Housemum. ChaosTrulyReigns, ideas always welcomed Smile

Silver Cross ouch, they've gone up in price a lot! Same handle height as umbrella fold one so I'd probably go for the cheaper one!

flier · 07/05/2011 09:27

so would I, Housemum, if it came with the matching bag! aargh! The most important thing toher is the matching bag, it seems

The Ranger Junior pram is only 6cm shorter - that comes with a matching bag and is £35 from Tesco online pram

flier · 07/05/2011 10:47

yay!Have tracked one down that claims to be for age range 5-10 years.

Yay! Hope your dd likes it! What one did you go for?

flier · 10/05/2011 14:44
