Mini vs Maxi Micro Scooter

Can anyone please advise which I should buy?

We inherited a Mini Micro from a friend which DS1 (just turned 5yo and is quite small for his age) and DS2 (nearly 3yo) have been fighting over ever since so I've decided to fork out for another one. But shall I go for another Mini or do I bite the (expensive) bullet and go for a Maxi?

I feel if I go for the Mini then DS1 might outgrow it in a year or so and I'll have to fork out for a Maxi in the end, which at £90 is nearly twice the price of a Mini. But not sure if he's ready for a Maxi just yet as they are aimed at 6-12yo. Oh what to do.....

Lastly, does anyone know of any special deals for these rather expensive (but hoping it will ease school run misery) toys? Ta

Hi

DS still uses his mini and he will be six in June. The maxi is well, er maxi and still seems too big. Plus it is much heavier if you end up carrying it. Not to mention the price.

I would go for another mini. Hopefully you could sell it on when you need to upgrade to the maxi. I haven't seen them on special offer anywhere though.

I hope to sell DS's on but won't for a while yet as he is still very much a micro size and he is not small for his age

I just went through this turmoil. I bought a 2 wheeled scooter for my 4 year old and he just can't do it so i decided on a micro for each of my 2 and 4 year old. I ended up buying 2 maxi (yes i know crazy for the 2 year old) the height was no difference to the micro when the maxi is at its lowest. I got a great bargin through a site

If you sign up to their news letter you can get a £10 voucher off which i did so took it down to £70.99 by far the cheapest after alot of searching.

Hope this helps a little.
