Balance Bikes and Pre Bikes

I have been looking at these balance bikes for a while or are they called Pre Bikes, I can never work it out. Anyway My Boyfriend decided on one of these a STOMPEE

STOMPEE

as he said those chunky tyres are just brilliant.

£45 inc P&P seems to be a very very good price for a childs bike which always seem to be so expensive for what you get.

Is my Boyfriend correct, or has he just be awestruck by those Chunky tyres? Wink

My ds has a Rothan from Isla bikes, (bought second hand!) which he absolutely loves.
The tyres on a stompee look a similar size to ours. What you need to be careful of is how heavy the bike is... can your dc pick it up?

wow that Rothan bike is £120 don't think I could ever justify paying that much! Thats more than twice the price. Is not any lighter than the Stompee so I'm not missing out anything there, if you know what I meanSmile

yeah, they both look quite similar and as i said we did buy it second hand! (NCT sale £40) :)

Have you checked the height of the Stompee? My DS has very little legs so it was hard to find one low enough. Worth measuring the inside leg and checking before you buy one.

I measured it as Just over 12" seat to floor.
