1st birthday present suggestions

I am planning on buying my son one of those smart trikes for his 1st birthday in April as I want to get him something that he will get plenty of use out of and will grow with him. My mum wants to get him some sort of outdoor play centre thing or a swing with a budget of £60 - £100 but I haven't been able to find much for that sort of price - they all seem to be either really basic that he prob will get bored with, or too expensive.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you can't find a playcentre/swing in your budget (and tbh, ime they grow out of the plastic ones that are in that price range pretty quickly) what about a nice sandpit or sand/water table? Or maybe even a tent/tunnel combo that can be used either indoors or outdoors?

The tent/tunnel idea is a good one. Sandpit probably wouldn't work for us as my husband's army so we move all the time and sandpits probably aren't that portable. Will look into that though thank you!

Worth looking into the sand/water table option then maybe. We've got a little tikes one (which I can't find online now), but a lot of the similar plastic style ones are quite compact and easy to empty/dismantle.

Good luck with finding something suitable - I'm sure you're DS will have a great birthday whatever you end up with Smile
