Soft Bodied Doll - that doesn't 'do' anything!

Looking to buy a doll for DD.

I had one when I was growing up, made by Zaff but can't seem to find any either online or in the shops.

Don't want it to cry, eat, sleep, poo etc! Would rather she used her imagination, plus the interactive dolls scare me!! Just a softbodied doll with eyes that shut when she is laid down.

Found some small ones but looking for a newborn baby or slightly larger size. Think mine wore 0-3 month clothes! Grin

Was about to post a similar thread myself!

I want to buy a newborn doll for DD when I have DC2 in the summer, then give her the relevant accompanying kit (pram, pushchair, nappies, etc) as DC2 grows up.

DD was given a cheap and nasty soft-bodied 'You&Me' doll which she loves, but I'd like to find a nicer one.

Watching this thread with interest!

I got my DS a doll by the french company Corolle, this one

I was looking for a boy doll but it cost a lot more so I stuck with the girl! Not very cheap but good quality and nice accessories if you want them -- they do larger dolls as well, this one is a 30cm one for smaller children.

I have 2 corolle dolls for my dds. However my youngest actually likes the Tescos doll just as much one outfit and a headband but its eyes close . The older prefers the Corolle as you can change its clothes !!!

This site has loads of dolls, mostly "non-function" dolls
Bambolina Dolls

They sell Gotz, Corolle etc so not the cheapest dolls in the world but nice ones.

Thank you SO much everyone for your pointers. I have been searching for AGES for a non interactive doll for my DD for her birthday as I didn't want one that pooped, cried, wailed and needed that much attention that it'd be like having another baby in the house!! Managed to find what I wanted on the Tesco site, a Zapf one, so thanks for that Rosa. Great price at around £22 and doesn't talk! Perfect!
