How to fix Knog Frog light to a micro scooter?

I've seen a few threads recommending this Knog Frog light for micro scooters.

On the micro scooter website, it says to fix it round the stem of the scooter, but unless I'm missing something the light would be sideways. Which is not a great problem, but I think it would look better if it could fit at the top of the T bar, the right way up.

It occurs to me that the T bar can be taken off, so perhaps it would be possible to loop the silicone band around the stem, and then fix it around the horizontal bit of T bar at the top. But this would only work if the light would fit in the reasonably small space between the rubber grips.

Does anyone have one and can let me know if it does work?

We just have them on the upright part, underneath the handle bar, they are fine there and get a bit more protection from the weather. Have had them stolen off the DC's scooters at school though, so I have just bought replacements, which I am going to be only putting on when we actually go out at night (which is several times a week, so a nuisance). I tried cable ties to keep them on but you can still winkle out the little lights, which is the part that gets stolen (both times we have found the rubber case discarded by the scooter racks)

Thank you whoknows! Do you have front and back ones? I can't see the back ones can be great as surely dc will cover it up? Thanks for the tip re leaving them.

We only have front ones, as you say the DC will be in the way. My DCs have got little hi-vis sleeveless jackets which I make them wear at night with reflective strip on the back and front. TBH for us the main use of the light is so that other pedestrians see them coming towards them on the pavement, the jackets are better for being visible when crossing roads etc.

Thanks whoknows-I've just ordered the front one!
