Hair twirling thing

DD1 has seen a hair twirling thing for making some kind of braids. She's seen it advertised on CiTV a lot recently - argh - but I don't know what it's called. Anyone know what I mean?

Like this? Quite expensive though.

Unless you can find similar elsewhere.

OMG those things give me nightmares

DD got one stuck to her scalp in her looooong hair at a friends house and it took HOURS to get it out

Much much better to learn to do it by hand IMO, it's really easy

Shock

That's awful. When I googled hair braiders (I didn't know what they were), there were lots of books also. Maybe that would be a better idea.

Hi - thanks - yes have gone the book route with some bits and pieces to weave in and out etc. DD is much better at doing her hair than I am already. The dinner staff say it cheers them up every day to see her latest creation. (She's 7 - they are quite eccentric - doesn't hold back with the colour scheme.)
