Leapfrog junior or tag reader?

Are these any good?
Also would a tag reader be ok for a nearly 3 year old? Seems a waste to buy the junior one when the tag reader can read junior books.

Any advice be great, thanks

Got our daughter a junior reader when she was 2 and a half but all she did was use her brother's tag, which is a great product.
