I am wondering the same (see my other thread about the ELC dino track!) DS is getting a micro scooter for Christmas too. But his favourite things to play with are his big sister's princess dresses and barbies!

For rellies I will probably suggest duplo, books and maybe a marble run. Also, a big hit with all the small boys I know of this age has been one of those robot grabber hands - ds will be getting one in his stocking I think! Or a torch - ds has one of those cow-shaped dynamo ones, which is one of his most treasured possessions! Smile

thanx for the reply. we have the dino track, its ok. both boys like it but (this sounds stupid) all it does is go round and round! we have duplo and marble run. like the orch idea though thanx

Our DS is about to turn 3, and as well as the ubiquitous micro scooter we are giving him some Build It, currently half price at ELC. He already has some and plays with it a lot, so we are adding another set.

Also these swimming goggles.

And a box of 10 Thomas jigsaw puzzles

From friends/family we have suggested a Playmobil police motorbike, new pyjamas and duvet cover, and a little tractor and trailer (by Siku, a bit like Matchbox toys).

Oh yes, and for Christmas we have a Morphibian remote-control car a bit like this one. Goes through puddles and has working lights, so will be good for playing outside in winter.

chillipickle you just reminded me that I'd bought a Morphibian for my ds months ago in the ELC sale! It is sitting in my wardrobe waiting for Christmas - they look fab don't they!

The build it stuff looks good too. We already have a house full of Playmobil as my dd loves it, but ds just tends to deconstruct it, I think he's a bit young to play with it properly yet. Shame as I love the stuff and would be very happy to buy more!

roastedfox thanks for the info about the dino track - it's so hard to know whether these things are going to be a hit or not isn't it!
