First birthday presents for second child

People keep asking me what the baby wants for her birthday. We still have everything from DD1 though- they tend to both play with the same toys. The only thing that has broken is the pushalong walker truck thingy, but we are going to get her one ourselves (mainly to avoid the noisy plastic pink versions for something so big)

Plus, I have forgotten what one year olds like. She is still crawling and bashing things mainly, although she does like wheeling cars around.

Maybe some bricks?

Argh. Ideas?

Something that your dd1 can play with as well as she'll have all the toys off your your smallest :)

:)
I think you are right there! So maybe bricks are a good idea?

I fancy getting them one of those mats with roads on, for both of them, but I think DD1 is more likely to play with it atm so not sure I can ask people to get it for DD2.

DD2 like playing with cars, but more just wheeling them back and forth, and them she gets told off by DD1 for not parking them properly Hmm

What ages are those chunky plastic cars good for? All the kids at toddler group seem to fight over those.

Or maybe some kind of trailer or truck that she could put toys in and pull around? Then it could be used in the pretend games as she gets older and when DD1 nicks it?

Poor thing, she's a neglected subsequent!

I like a Brio dog here which you can get in MASSIVE or tiny. The tiny one is great as you can shove it in your bad if they get tired of pulling it.

I also love this threading.

I know Grin I have them and they have been great toys. My dd is four on Monday and she plays with that dog all the time.
