Trike for Small Toddler?

Last week I ordered a "Smart Trike" with parent handle la la la.

It had to go back because the pedals kept falling off....

BUT... it was also way too big for DD.

DD is nearly 2 and is ready for some sort of a toy which expends her energy. However, she is in 9-12 month clothes, only just fitting into some 12-18 month stuff.

Her feet simply don't reach either the floor, or peddles.

We went to our nearest Mothercare today and they only had two trikes assembled, one of which was the same as the one we just returned. The other looked about the same size.

Any ideas?

We desperately need something for the colder weather or we are both going to go crazy. If she doesn't get enough exercise, she gets a bit hyper. :(

How about this Step 2 Push Around Buggy.

My DS couldn't pedal at all until he was just over 3, this looks fun and has the parent handle etc but no pedals if that is what you are after.

I have seen quite a few of these around my area.
