Thomas train set

I'm planning on getting DS a Thomas train set for his second birthday, and am leaning towards the Take Along/Take-n-Play set.

Does anyone have any experiences or any particularly good or bad comments to make on these? I know they're 3+ but he'll be supervised when playing with them so as long as we don't deliberately go buying the smallest accessories possible I don't see that as a problem.

at 2, he may get frustrated with it. I'd go for a wooden set first.

I love the wooden ones personally we got Ds (3) the wooden thomas play table for last xmas was pricey but he loves it.

The brio ones are good also we have some of those, We also got one from tesco that was £10 and its excactly the same as the brio ones. :)
