I'm rubbish at making decisions. It's for DD4's 3rd birthday.

My older DDs got the sizzling kitchen from ELC years ago as a gift but we've since passed it on. I prefer wood to plastic and there's so much choice! We have limited space as she's sharing a bedroom with her 7 year old brother.

I have been looking at these:

Kidkraft

John Lewis

Ikea

Any experiences of these?

Or should I just go for a noisy Little Tikes plastic number?

Hmm

No plastic, and the noises will drive you crazy. This seems to be one toy that kids prefer wooden (more like the stuff in the kitchen I suppose?)

so.. Ikea ikea ikea.

I've not seen the JL one in the flesh though, it does look very lovely Envy

We're making one for DS out of Ikea bits Grin

We have a kidkraft one for the dds - this one

The girls love it, and has all the relevant bits they need - fridge, freezer, oven, microwave etc. We got ours in Costco, so was a fair bit cheaper than that too.

My dd was three recently and she would love any of those.I think the John Lewis or the ikea look the best, haven't seen the JL one in the flesh, but I was looking at the Ikea a few weeks back and it did look very nice.

Has anyone got this John Crane one? I like the look of it and the colours but haven't seen it in the flesh.

The Ikea one has a hob on it with working lights, a microwave on the top, and little shelves for all your bits (which the other ones don't seem to have)

Ikea have brought out a new range of play food (scroll down to bottom line) which is lovely too.

Yes we saw the ikea one this morning. It looks much better in the flesh than on the website imo. Seems really sturdy and the accessories are cute. Going for that one. Thanks everyone :)
