Lol just said on another thread that I am umming and aarhing over that versus a new bike for dd2 (she'll be 4 just after Christmas)

Went to ikea last week with her and she loved thekitchen and it looked lovely (I would get the top part as well as cooker base) and looks so much nicer than the palstic huge ELC one we have (am going to sell that one nearer Xmas if we go for wooden one) would advise to get the pots/pans/utensils/cutlery etc as DD2 loved playing with those in the store (make more noise than the plastic ones we have at present) I am tempted to get DD2 the china tea set and dinner service as well as she is actually quite restrained and careful with ehr toys. DD1 will be 6 by Xmas and I think she would play with the wooden kitchen too so may make it a joint present for them, in fact I have a photo of her playing with it, will see if I can load on my profile

I know it's so difficult trying to decide what to get and i like to get things that are going to last.

I think it looks lovely but i havent seen in in RL yet. I was going to get the pans etc as i think they are much better than the plastic ones.

Thank you for your advice i think i'm going to make a trip to ikea next month and get his big present out of the way.

DS has to be literally torn from the toy kitchen whenever we go there, I'd definitely get it for him if we had the room/money.

It's definitely the best one I've seen. The little hob has a light up bit and the best bit is it doesn't make any horrible hissing cooking noises

Def get the china set - it's very durable, even if you're not very careful with it.

I am

It's lovely - DS plays with it every time we go to Ikea (and we go to Ikea ALOT ). Would love to get one for him, but don't think we have the room.
