DS had one of these when he was a baby and he loved it. Many a night, we'd sit listening to the monitor downstairs as he pressed the buttons to work the lights and sound show upstairs, soothing himself to sleep and occasionally, it even got us an extra half hour in bed in the mornings as he played happily with the toy .

So when he grew out of it, we saved it for eventual baby number 2.

When DD was born, we dug out Mr Turtle again but only to find that the "sea" had evaporated and the fish who used to swim through it, now flapped at the bottom in the last little bit of water.

So, we're on the look out for a new crib side toy for DD (currently 7 months) - any recommendations?

Any have the Fisher Price jungle waterfall one? It looks like it's a similar idea to the Turtle one...

We have the fisher price one and think its lovely, the one w the monkey at the top and the fish at the bottom. The music isn't repetitive and you can have the volume quite low. Problems with it are that the light is a little bit too bright and it could do with staying on a bit longer. Ds is 16 months now and i have only changed the batteries once.
