Low cost ideas for a small shady enclosed garden space

I've fenced in a bit of the garden that had a drop down (on top of the brick wall). The space is now enclosed on all sides and can't be seen from the house due to the new fence. I did have pots in there but I'm not really sure what to put in there now or what to do with the space. Its about 3m x 2.5m and shady. Anyone have any low cost ideas of how to use the space?

A small above ground pond or water feature?

Do you already have space for a shed elsewhere?

@lcakethereforeIam I've just had a look at some above ground ponds and I agree it would be the perfect spot. I think they might take maintenence which is not my strong point. I hadn't thought of that idea so thank you! I will bear a water feature in mind as might be relaxing to hear the water.

@trimma it would make an ideal spot for a shed as hidden from view but we don't need one.

Go for both! There are solar fountains, the solar panel can be placed somewhere sunny with a cable running to the pond. I've got a half barrel pond, it just needs its water topped up occasionally.

@Beachtastic I love a recomendation as I'm new to gardening! I especially like plants with scents - they can definitely improve my mood. I haven't grown roses before. Would they be ok in pots next to the brick wall, and hopefully use the fence to grow on?

Will definitely look into this, thank you 😊

Yes, if you get a big pot (60 cm wide/deep) it will grow in that, if you keep it well watered. I'd attach horizontal wires to the fence panel to grow it along. And feed it now and then/top up the soil with rich compost!

@Beachtastic I could manage that. Also, the fence isn't the prettiest so it would be a two for one result.

Thanks everyone for the inspiration.
