Have you ever used an ouija board?

I was 22 and drunk when a friend of mine convinced me to 'have a go' on a ouija board. Can't remember what we asked or what happened but recall being bit scared until I thought 'Hold on, she's moving the upturned glass' so bit sceptical. Be honest...have you ever had a real experience communing with the other side?

Yeah loads. Grew up in a one horse town so it was that or heroin, for entertainment.

It's ideomotor effect, not ghosts, but it's fun scaring yourself when you're a teenager.

I am forever amazed at what I learn on MN.

But to answer OP, no.

Brought up god fearing, even as a wayward teen I wouldn't do it

Me too. That's why it took until by 20s to pluck up courage. Don't know what made me. If my Irish Catholic mother had been by my side, she'd have been livid! Must have been the liquid spirits I'd consumed!

Once, when I was 12/13.

My cat came home that evening with a gaping cut on his neck. The vet put forward the very logical theory that he’d probably caught it on a fence or something (he was fine and lived for 18 happy, otherwise uneventful years!)

I blamed myself for a ridiculously long time over that Blush never told a soul about it until now!

its just humans being human,

Sure as young teens on sleepovers! We didn't take it seriously but it was fun to scare ourselves a little bit dabbling with it all.

I recall as teenagers we’d do from time to time out of boredom but I can’t recall anything strange happening.

This was in the child/teenager stage where. you’d do anything to scare you/your friends etc.
