Animal spirit reading

I've never had a reading in my life but recently we lost our beloved cat and I really struggled in the days after her death. It felt like my heart had been ripped out and I miss her so much.
As the weeks have gone on it has got easier but I feel like I need to know she is ok and not in pain any more, and that she knew how much we loved her and taking her to be put to sleep was the hardest decision but we did it for her.
So I've booked my first ever reading, an online video call with a well respected animal psychic. The reviews from people who have had readings to connect with their soul animals are lovely to read and I hope to get some comfort and peace from my own experience.

But, I'm sceptical. I've never thought to much about things like this and I am keen to know if anyone has had a reading done before (human or animal) and the Medium/clairvoyant has told you something that no one else could possibly know?

I am so sorry about your beautiful and much loved cat. It is many years since I have had any kind of reading - unfortunately I don’t remember any of them being accurate. I hope you get the reassurance you are looking for. I am sure your cat knew she was very loved 💐

I hope your medium is genuine. Perhaps lock down any social media, etc, so they can’t research you if they’re not. And don’t wear anything that might give you away as a cat lover. That way you might be able to discern if they are genuine

Cats don't have theory of mind so they don't 'know' what we're thinking. It's impossible for them to understand as a concept. They also don't understand death.

This means that all your loved cat knew was the warmth of your home. And the calm peace of your life together.

Please don't waste your money on charlatans. If you have it to spare, give a little to the PDSA or somewhere so another cat can have medical care.

"Well respected animal psychic" is not a thing. You're being taken advantage of.

Animals don't have the concepts we do. Please get some professional counselling instead if you are (understandably) struggling with putting your cat to sleep.

It's upsetting for anyone, but paying a scammer isn't the way. These are your feelings to process. Be kind to yourself.

Mediumship is a huge con. Humans don't contact us feomnbeyond the grave, let alone pets. Please try a professional counsellor.

I'm a tarot reader so relatively woo, and am sceptical about animal psychics. I'd say you can connect to your pet yourself if you like, by making a little memorial to them and doing a guided meditation. I'd try that before any animal psychic. So sorry for your loss.
