Did anybody watch this?

I think there was a presence and it wasn't made up

The daughters seemed genuine, esp as things happened when they all no longer lived there

I loved the bit where she was watching non Welsh speaking people use a ouija board. The "spirit" that came through was apparently Welsh. "Oh will you communicate in Welsh please?"

" No" 😆

I’ve just watched all four episodes- as pp said, it hooked me in.
really not sure either way, but on a tangent, I noticed something about the ‘owl’ in episode 4.
about nine minutes in, nicolette’s husband shows Sian some photos of the owl when his children were little.
can someone look back and see what you can see beside/behind the owl in the second photo?

Twoshoesnewshoes · 02/09/2023 23:43

Someone?
I can’t go to sleep now!

Twoshoesnewshoes · 03/09/2023 10:31

I have questions! Someone please respond, and have a look.

EricandEnid · 03/09/2023 10:43

The grave stone is behind the owl in one, is that what you mean?

I enjoyed the programme, but am very undecided on what happened. The daughters were clearly affected and the owl was strange. I wonder if Rosemary was just eccentric?
Why would you bring the grave stone inside? The bit that freaked me out was when her torch wouldn’t work!
it’s all very odd!

Twoshoesnewshoes · 03/09/2023 10:46

thank you 😊
yes it is the gravestone isn’t it?
why didn’t Sian say anything, or maybe she didn’t see it?
where did they say they had moved it to before the wedding? It’s just really odd.
yes the torch bit was spooky 👻

EricandEnid · 03/09/2023 11:02

That’s true, didn’t they say that they had moved it before the wedding? Why would you bring it inside?
I also thought you had to report to the police if you found human bones? (My only knowledge of this is watching a paranormal show that was based in America and they had called the police).
I can recommend expedition Bigfoot if anyone is into that sort of thing. Oh and the curse of skinwalker ranch.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 03/09/2023 22:25

Yes I’m tempted to rewatch to see what was said about moving the gravestone
its a bit weird

GentlemanJack · 03/09/2023 23:06

I've just watched, very interesting. I like the presenter. What made me look twice was when the gravestone was found and the dirt brushed away it looked new to me. Hardly a mark on it considering it was so old. Clean lettering, no weather damage.
Something off there to me.

MoiraRosesBaybay · 03/09/2023 23:07

I thought it was very interesting.

I think it was the mum. I think it started with something that made her believe there was a ghost and then after that she was doing it, either intentionally or subconsciously. I wonder how well they were welcomed in the local area. There was a lot of anti English sentiment in Wales at that time.

The Witch House is even more spun out and amplified. Again it could have been told in a couple of episodes.

slobro · 05/09/2023 21:57

I'm on episode three of this and I am not convinced. The presenter hasn't shown any investigative curiosity at all! She spoke to someone who lived in the house before the Gowers who told her all about Jane, and then said but how could Rosemary have known about Jane?! Well maybe she spoke to the same person you did ... however the man who now owns the farm has been brilliant so far, he clearly saw the pound signs for a massive advert for his yurt business and fair play to him, I hope he's made a packet out of it 😀

slobro · 05/09/2023 21:58

And the gravestone was in far better condition when they found it than it was in the pictures twenty years before which seems a little odd. It didn't look 200 years old.

SpamFrittersYouSay · 05/09/2023 22:27

That's what I was thinking @slobro

Rosieleerose · 07/04/2024 16:49

I'm on episode 3.

If it is a true story my theory would be that the Monk is maybe the father of Jane's baby and he is looking for Jane and the baby.
Maybe now there will be more paranormal activity now the gravestone has been dug up.

I wonder if they could actually find Jane's body on the site.

But I think in reality it was the Mum doing something. Bored housewife, isolated in a new area.
