Has anyone been on a ghost hunt that actually had a ghost?

I've been on a few and they've all been rubbish also the people running it were mad as a box of frogs.

We consider it light entertainment but would be nice to go somewhere where something happens.

No, I've only ever been on one which was at Newsham hospital in Liverpool. but I only went so that I could get inside the building for a snoop around as had never managed to get in successfully during the day due to security guards.

Some people came on a ghost hunt to our old house (ex coaching inn built in 1475) once

They kicked us out of our lounge and held a seance and one of them -an American-started speaking in very old English with the English accent to match. (We were listening through the floorboards from upstairs)

By the time it got to 11pm we wanted to go to bed and had to ask them to leave. They said they had been in contact with a presence who had spoken via the American woman, and gave lots of details about her which when we did some digging did tally with previous occupants of the house (i guess they could also have checked-but to be fair it was an impromptu visit-they were staying with a neighbour of ours and said they fancied a look round (as ours was the oldest house in the village) and as I vaguely knew her she popped up and gave me a knock to ask if they could come and about 2 minutes later they did-they wouldn't have been able to plan it far in advance)

Who knows if all the seance bit was made up but they seemed convinced.

We always felt there was something else in that house-a benign mischievous something-but never like we were alone. So maybe there was something in it.

No of course not, do you really not think with the status of science if ghosts were a thing we’d be able to prove it by now…

I don’t believe but lots of weird orbs all over the show in a cellar in Edinburgh (for which I’m sure there’s a sensible explanation).

Is that the Edinburgh Vaults? I’ve been there with my then boyfriend and met friends who lived outside Edinburgh. My boyfriend swore someone tapped him on the shoulder and not someone on the walk.

This was before the Joe Swash documentary on ghosts and supernatural where he slept there and heard on sound recordings afterwards what appeared to be like a priest saying the last rites and hearing screams.

Me and our friends saw or heard nothing and my then boyfriend was the least sop person ever.

We stayed overnight at a place in Pluckley. I don’t know if it’s still a hotel. There were definitely spooky occurrences, some of which happened to a member of the party who was a complete non-believer. The place we stayed did not bill itself as a haunted hotel so there’s no reason for the owners to set it up either.

My husband and I visited the vaults and omg the scratches on his back after being down there were like something out of a horror movie. Also someone held my hand, but it wasn't anything ordinary it was like so tight I honestly thought my hand was going to burst with the pressure. It was bruised for days after

Lots of activity at Slough Fort in Kent and Shepton Mallett prison - really good fun and interesting to walk around

I was on antibiotics for an ear infection and I think that dulled things a bit, wasn’t supposed to drink but had a few cheeky cocktails.

The Joe Swash programme, at first I thought “nah mate you’re doing it for publicity” but he got freaked out and the look on his face when the sound recorder played back what was on there… maybe it’s stretching things re what was heard but you’d have to be very sceptical having watched it not to believe something was happening given what’s happened there before.

We went to the York Dungeons with Most Haunted - it was very well run, and we saw a few things that I can't explain ....

Yes, I went with a friend on a ghost tour of a local mansion, I really didn't like the tour leader, bossy cow, anyway the group walked down the big staircase, I stayed up top to look at the carvings on the balustrade she called up to me 'oh DO hurry up, I muttered I don't like you to myself I then heard a voice right in my ear which said ' neither do I' there was no-one behind me and the rest of the group were too far away they couldn't have heard what I said, we didn't see or hear anything else on that trip and I didn't tell her what I heard but did tell my friend afterwards
