As the title states. Do you believe everything happens for a reason/coincidences or not at all?

No.

No. Too much terrible stuff happens in the world for there to be a reason behind any of it.

Depends what you mean by "a reason".

Consequences of actions then yes. Eg if you don't look where you are going, you might trip over. If you don't save money then you can't pay an unexpected bill and so on. Everything you do or do not do results in something happening or not happening, which leads to something else and so on and so forth.

If you mean somehow the universe is looking after you and the job you didn't get and were upset about turned out for the best because you ended up with something better then no. That's just coincidence.

Ok I’ll buck the trend…. Yes.
I have reasons and examples but I’m about to go to bed.

No. Most stuff is completely random and we don't have as much control over our lives as we like to think we do.

No. A year on from.my partner's suicide I simply cannot subscribe to this idea. Perhaps we met for a reason, who knows? It's like people who say about karma. Don't believe in that either. Take care all.

Sadly no. I’ve lost friends. Lovely, healthy, fit people with children, suddenly struck down by incurable diseases or in accidents. They have left children who are doing well now but who will never recover from the pain of losing a parent. I cannot see a possible reason for such suffering.

No. Sometimes good things happen because life can be beautiful and amazing. Sometimes bad things happen because life can be shit. That's it. There is no why.

Karma is bullshit as well. People are either get lucky or they don't.

I used too. But then my husband died. I don't believe it any more

Yes.

The reason being that everything that happens is supposed to happen in the way that it happens.

We have zero control over anything.
Everything is already mapped out and individually planned and customized for everything beforehand.

I’ve had moments where I have thought this and sometimes I think people come into your life for a brief moment when you need them, only to leave again.
However it’s hard to keep believing when you lose loved ones too soon and terrible things happen. Then You think , why?

I've had this.
People come into my life to show me something, give me a different viewpoint, point me in a different direction and then they go again.

I like to think they are angels !

I’d like to think so but then as others have said, I’ve lost a friend to suicide too. Im
sure her family and friends wouldn’t say it happened for a reason, though she was mentally unwell and hid this for ages, masking with alcohol and recreational drugs.

Also, other events etc in my life, I know if I or friends don’t socialise etc then of course you don’t make connections, meet people eg potential partners etc. You could argue that the latter if we didn’t meet people etc then this is happening for a reason but I also believe you have to make your own luck/life and live it, no matter what life throws at you. Realise this paragraph does sound a bit confusing!

No not at all. Life is made up of a vast range of random events with some occasional coincidences.

I don't believe that things happen for a reason but I think we are meant to meet certain people along the way.
