My first psychic evening

Went to my first psychic evening last night. It was actually really intriguing. Some of the stuff was very general like "I'm getting a tall man who died of cancer" but some stuff was so accurate and specific to the person. It was a really good evening and I got a lovely feeling of peace and positivity afterwards. No one came through for me but I'm thinking of going again as I'd love a message from my Dad. Or would a private reading be better? How do you find a good medium who actually knows their stuff?

Everyone will have opinions on this, and are entitled to them. However I do believe and enjoy things like this. Speaking from personal experience, I prefer a private reading; I've done a few groups and it's interesting but I've also had three private readings with two separate people and had all sorts come through, some generic but a lot was very, very accurate. So I would say private would be best for you.

Don't pin your hopes on getting one specific person through though, it doesn't always happen, and if the person who has passed over didn't believe, they won't always come through. I do find you get people coming through who you'd never expect, and it's always interesting!

In terms of finding a good one, maybe speak to others in your local area to see if anyone knows of any, or see if the people at the evening you went to do private appointments.

This happened to me at a group evening. Nearly spilt my tea. My nanas name, her cause of death, her Irish heritage. I obviously knew it was my nana but I asked her if it was my mums mum or my dads mum (mums mum was still alive). She replied with my dads date of birth the exact date, month and year. No idea why she didn’t just say my dad instead of ‘whose birthday is DD/MM/YYYY’. She proceeded with more accurate info such as my dads specific work issues, a relative who was in prison at the time and my auntys debilitating anxiety (she hadn’t left the house in years).

despite this i still struggle with believing it all, I think it’s too big for my mind to comprehend.

My sister and I went to a psychic evening last month, we were the first ones the psychic (J) approached and told us our Mum and Dad were there and vying to get through first!!!!! J said our Dad had died quickly, and Mum had died slowly ( both true) J told us things no one could have known, some facts a bit daft, others quite serious.
The venue wasn't very big, and J spoke to most of the guests and was spot on with what she told people. Like the OP, I came away comforted and peaceful.
People will have very differing opinions on this subject, but we are not all the same.
J is well known in this area, and has a great reputation psychic evenings are held every month and is always sold out.

I've seen a lot of psychic mediums and many are very vague, very generic and I don't rate them highly. The you get an amazing medium who can offer names, dates, locations and specific details.
I guess there are good GPs, bad gps; brilliant teachers, lazy teachers; great showmen, less talented people.

Where I live there is one lady who is amazingly accurate, and I tend to compare every medium with her. Everybody's else is very generic in comparison.

I think many mediums are very fair to middling and only a very few of them are extremely talented.

Both my DH & I have seen a brilliant medium, where we used to live. She was absolutely incredible.

I went to an evening once. The medium told me a whole bunch of stuff about my Uncle, about what I liked to eat, about going to the football. When I said none of this was true they turned to the person on my left and said "well it must be you then". It wasn't them either. Some people lapped it up though. "I'm getting a tiny white coffin..." it's grief stalking.

I’ve got a friend of DM’s who has been to a psychic but not a psychic meeting. She said he was very good. DM also have friends of friends who’ve been to a psychic meeting/evening and apparently told them great detail about their son who’d passed.

I’ve been to a spiritualist church twice. For me someone did come through apparently my grandad who I never knew (dad’s DF). Said something relating to my DM’s house and security (something quite specific). However they could say anything and you wouldn’t know or want to ask too much. They disappeared very quickly after the night was over and my close friend who was there got “dancing” for her from someone who’d passed, well I could look at her and easily say if I looked at her she likes dancing. What I didn’t like was there was a woman who looked like she came every week, very upset and desperate for a sign but no one ever came through. They can pray on vulnerable people. I don’t doubt that there’s the occasional probably Romany medium or psychic who does have a gift but sadly I think some of them just do it to defraud people. I’ve worked in areas with Romany/travellers and you used to get the odd woman selling lucky heather which I’d sometimes buy but you could tell they were highly unlikely to be a credible medium!
