Ancestry research, visit to grave.. Started hearing voice & seeing things!

Last year I started to research my 2nd great grandmother on the Ancestry.co.uk website. Found out so much about her, never knew anything at all about it before I started digging. It all started when my grandma (her grandaughter) died, I wanted to know more about where my grandma came from and who her relatives were.

Having read so much about my 2nd great grandmother I was so intrigued and wanted to visit her grave to lay some flowers and pay my respects. I located the grave and did this (she is buried with several of her relatives).

3 days after visiting the grave I was sitting at home, and suddenly heard an unfamiliar female voice saying her name (I mean name of my 2nd GM). Nothing else was said, just the name - but very clearly.
Then it starting happening more frequently, always comes from the same corner of my room. I don't have a tv so it wasn't anything on tv. No immediate neighbours (rural area) and no windows open. Nobody in "real life" who could have been saying this name.
Then last week, I starting seeing the same of a black feather in mid-air, close to my kitchen door. Again, no possible "earthly" explanation.
Do you think I've somehow "disturbed" my ancestor by taking flowers and visiting her grave? This all started after my visit to the grave, nothing like it happened before.

I don't know but it's fascinating, both the research and the experiences.
If you believe, you might think that you haven't disturbed her but that you've just contacted her.

I'd be concerned you inhaled some kind of toxin or fungus at the grave site and are now experiencing medical issues causing you to hallucinate.

Do you think maybe because she’s on your mind it could be happening?
I went to take flowers to my grandparents and great grandparents graves a few weeks ago and I couldn’t find them- glad now after reading this.
How do you feel when you hear her name? Calm/scared?

That’s amazing. I think she’s just acknowledging your findings. I do know that if it’s frightening you at any point, you can tell her this the next time it happens and ask her to leave. My mum had something similar happen. She was advised to do this and the spirit (it was her mum) left her alone after.

i know i was on there religiously at some point as its got 70 family members in my tree, but how? you have to pay and i dont recall paying!!
