Anyone want a reading?

Going to limit it to the first five as last time I did this (under another name) it went a bit mental. But I've got a new set of cards and I'd like to see if I'm comfortable using their imagery.

Disclaimer: I am not woo. I do not have, or believe myself to have 'powers.' I use the cards purely as a focus for thoughts about situations.

So with that in mind, hit me up!

Death and the three of swords in your immediate past! Blimey, that indicates you've gone through the mill. A traditional interpretation of that would be a relationship ending, heartbreak, or a change of partner? Other cards indicate that you're a glass half full person, so any recent change might not have hit you quite as hard as someone who isn't as philosophical as you are.

Whatever the situation, you know that you need to focus on the here and now and look for the good rather than moping and thinking about what ifs. You're looking forward to getting your life back in balance and anticipating a time when you can spend energy thinking about what you want rather than caring for other people. Future cards say that this will be happen -just don't go too far in the opposite direction!

Wow, that is accurate; i just had the very conversation yesterday with my line manager about lack of confidence in my abilities (she kindly said I am doing just fine!) and yes, I really hope I am emerging from the period of chaos and not carrying on into more, I am indeed tired of being at the centre of emotional whirlwinds and just want some calm to get on with my own stuff. It looks like something has happened recently that has forced you to retreat and lick your wounds. Has something you weren't expecting blown up in your face? Has there been an unexpected argument or falling out? Have you pushed someone further than you should have? The reaction wasn't what you were expecting, whichever way. Currently you're trying to find a way to deal with it, mulling it over and debating ways out of the situation. Don't leave it too long; it's too easy to retreat and not deal with the issues at hand. If you strike while the iron is hot, the opportunities are great for you being able to collaborate successfully with them on a way forward if you keep an open mind and communicate carefully.

All your cards are about choice. It looks like you have too much choice, and it's causing you to stay frozen rather than make an absolute decision. It's not even that many of the choices are bad; rather it's an embarrassment of riches you're being offered and you feel that you might miss out on an even better opportunity by setting your cap at just one. If it feels like a burden, it's because you are used to being a decisive, no nonsense type. Hesitating is just not in your nature -so why now?

At the centre of your cards is The Emperor, which indicates that there is someone who you feel is judging the choice you have to make. The emperor is normally a husband, a father, a boss or a mentor. He can also be representative of our own Ego. It could be that you judge yourself too harshly. It could be that you are used to getting your own way and don't want to cede the choice to someone else, which might be a way out of your current situation.

Wow these are fascinating, how does it work? I think I’m gathering cards fall i. Past present future? And then you read the meanings (which I presume takes some skill!) how do the cards know you are thinking about some random on the web without even a real name?
