Something going well, any stories?

Just read on a thread that on the internet you don't usually hear about things going well.

So decided to start a thread on just that 'things going well'.

Any stories welcome. Large or small...

Ill kick off.

I have a new tumble drier. I wasn't sure about the expense, but it makes things so much easier in a small space and I'm really pleased with it...

I took my two grandsons swimming in the outdoor pool opposite my house. It was cloudy here on Friday so I wasn’t really in the mood. However - when we got to the pool, there were no other swimmers - so we had the whole pool to ourselves! The water was really warm too and it was so nice not having to look out for other people. So yes, the swimming went really well x

Not so many takers here yet for this thread. But live in hope.

I may carry on posting anyway, it is helping me at the moment to focus on the positive.

I am pleased that sixth form arrangements going well here. Just got confirmation to say that DD has got a place on the college bus. So that's going well too.

Op did you mean to post in 'the unexplained' section? It doesn't get much traffic, it's mostly ghosty stuff here

My job.. so far so good. It got off to an awful start when we went back after lockdown but the last few months have went well & it’s helping my mental health.

I went away for a couple of nights in Whitby last month by myself. I had a really nice time, swam in the sea, and realised I'd unwittingly arrived in the middle of the steampunk festival, which was ace in itself....

The place I stayed was run by a really nice family who made me promise to return before they sell up and move on later this year.
When I tried checking out on the last day, they refused to take any money off me, and told me to go treat myself- taken aback doesn't even begin to describe the look on my face when that happened. I still don't know why they did that; it was my birthday during my stay, but I hadn't mentioned it to anyone...

I'm going back in a few weeks - I'm definitely paying this time, as well as taking them out for a pint!
